Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, JSS PUBLIC SCHOOL had a celebration in school on 09th November 2023 Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Children decorated diyas with colours and some craft materials.

Both Teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.

JSS Public School, HBR Layout, celebrated Children’s day on the 14th November, 2024, with great festive fervour, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
The programme began with a special assembly conducted by the teachers, followed by offering Prayers to Sri Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ji, special programmes planned by teachers.
Children enjoyed a bagless day in colourful dress attire and by participating in the CCA competitions held, bringing out their innate talents.

Stepping outside their comfort zones, students learn to navigate unfamiliar environments, collaborate with peers, and adapt to new situations. These experiences build confidence, resilience, and independence, qualities that are essential for success in the modern world.
Students of JSS Public School, HBR Layout have been to Neladasiri and Ruppi’s resort for a Field Trip, crafting memories with their classmates.

Students and staff of JSSPS HBR celebrated Independence Day with high spirits and patriotism by unfurling the National flag, saluting the leaders who brought us independence, and promising to forever hold their legacy and our history intact.

Skits, Fancy Dress, group Dances, Speeches, and group songs were part of the celebrations.

Students were reminded about the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and were educated with the responsibility of supporting the Nation’s development.

As patriotic citizens, they were encouraged to put extra effort into performing their civic responsibilities and reminded that it is only by working together that we can build a resilient and thriving nation.

World Environmental Day was celebrated on June 5 2023, Monday.  Chief Guest Mr.Saroj Kanta Pati presented and planted saplings in the school.  Students performed a skit on ‘No plastics to school’.

International Yoga day was celebrated on June 21, 2023, Wednesday. Children spoke about the significance of inculcating yoga in daily life and various asanas were performed by all the students in the ground.

World Music day was celebrated on June 23, 2023, Friday. Students showcased their talents by playing different musical instruments and gave vocal performance in western and carnatic music

73rd Republic Day was celebrated at JSS PUBLIC SCHOOL,HBR LAYOUT with great honour and pride. Seeking the blessing of our Swamiji Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji the celebration started with the hoisting of our National Flag followed by the singing of National Anthem and Flag song. All the teaching and Non teaching staff participated in the celebration by following the covid protocols. Mr.Yogesh H K the Principal was the chief guest for the occasion.

Mrs.Shaistha Anjum gave a speech on the theme formulated by the Ministry of defence this year. The theme was ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Music teacher Mrs.Usha N rendered a melodious patriotic song.

The chief guest addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of the day. The celebration conducted with the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs.Rajeshwari N.

Our school celebrated Investiture ceremony on 7th July 2023 with great enthusiasm and dignity in the school premises. Indeed it was a great moment to give the entrusted badges to the young student leaders. The selected leaders of all the four houses were conferred with badges and the school captain administered the oath. The principal spoke on the occasion and advised the leaders to be role models and to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties.
